Immerse yourself in Hawaiian culture and history with our Hawaii Culture Tour on this fun filled adventure to some of the most significant historical venues throughout Oahu. Your guide will be a local in-the-know and proud Kamaaina (born and raised in Hawaii) who are more than just knowledgeable about the sites you’ll visit – they’re proud of their Native Hawaiian ancestry and view their role in this tour as more of a docent than merely a guide. If there is a spot on your list you’d like to go to, we’ll always do our best to make it happen.
Your day begins with a visit to one of the largest fishponds on Oahu, located in picturesque Hawaii Kai full of Hawaii culture. There, you’ll learn how ancient Hawaiians used the fishponds to trap and catch fish, necessary to feed the growing population. From there, you’ll be taken to many other cultural landmarks such as Pele’s Chair, Makapuu Heiau, Ulupo Heiau and Taro Patch, and Iolani Palace where you’ll not just learn about, but be amazed by their incredible beauty and rich cultural significance.
Some would consider this tour as the missing part of a typical Hawaii vacation. This immersive experience will not only leave you in awe of the Native Hawaiian culture, but you’ll also leave with a deeper appreciation for this incredible place we call home. No refunds will be given after that time period.
